Smyth’s Educational Foundation

The Smyth’s Educational Foundation was determined by an Order of Charity on 6 October 1903. It was founded by William Smyth with funds bequeathed in his will dated 12 September 1634. The Foundation aims to provide modest financial assistance to support the educational interests of young people living in West Chiltington Parish.

Grants of up to £250 may be awarded to young people up to the age of 21 to support a range of activities e.g. to purchase books or other educational materials or to support participation in an educational trip.

We aim to provide assistance to those who would otherwise struggle financially to buy essential educational materials and equipment or to attend educational experiences e.g. those from households dependent on benefits, on minimum wage or with other financial constraints. Please only apply if you believe this criterion applies to your household.

Please complete, print and sign the form and return it to the Parish Clerk, The Parish Office, Church Street, West Chiltington, RH20 2JW.
