Smyth’s Educational Foundation
The Smyth’s Educational Foundation was determined by an Order of Charity on 6 October 1903, from the Charity of William Smyth, founded by Will dated 12 September 1634.
The Foundation aims to provide financial assistance (grants) to young people living within West Chiltington Parish in education, supporting their education or developing their educational interests. This could be in the form of book tokens to support study, organisations like pre-schools, youth clubs, Brownies and Guides or supporting an educational trip. The aim is to support capital expenditure rather than ongoing cost for e.g. extracurricular activities
If you live within the Parish, or if your organisation supports young people living in the Parish, Smyth’s Educational Foundation may be able to help you. The Trustee’s meet quarterly usually in March, June, September and December. The next meeting is scheduled for 18th March 2024.
Applications should be made in writing, outling what you are requesting financial support for, using the Trust’s application form. The completed form should be sent to the Parish Clerk, Parish Office, Church Street, West Chiltington, RH20 2JW or emailed to clerk@wcpc.org.uk to arrive on or before the last working day of February, May, August and November in order to be considered at the following meeting.
We look forward to receiving your application.
