West Chiltington Silver Band

West Chiltington Silver Band has a long history with its origins dating back to 1908.  There are some players in the band who have been members for over 50 years. Find out more about our history and view the archive gallery of old pictures of the band.

They are a non-contesting band consisting of local enthusiastic musicians of mixed abilities and ages. Although they try and welcome everyone, absolute beginners may find some of the music a little bit challenging.

They rehearse every Wednesday at 8.00pm in their band room in West Chiltington village. They also enjoy playing at local events throughout the year. If you’d like to hear them play, take a look at their future gigs list to see where they are playing next, or have a listen to a past performance on their video reel.

The band’s Musical Director is George Salmon, a violinist and experienced conductor with many years experience in leading musicians.
